It's an electric hardtail (the ride1up turris, I'm pushing it way further than what its built lol) and I just ride loose over hard packed earth and rock.
Race face has a larger pedal and lifetime warranty but the deity is made of stronger material. Everything's about the same price.
Also any color schemes that would look good on the forest green turris? (I was thinking something ridiculous like the magenta just to have some fun https://www.raceface.com/products/chester-grips-ltd?variant=41118982045778)

I only ride with Deity pedals. I like their grips. Realistically, it does not matter. There is not enough of a difference between the Raceface Chester pedals and the Deftraps to matter. Both are highly recommended by this sub. Grips will always be extremely personal, but they are also fairly cheap, so buy a set and try them.
Grips (at least of the ones you suggested) are 100% personal preference. Pedals I usually recommend OneUp or Chester’s for cheap plastics. But pedals are also very personal preference. Touch points are pretty rider dependent.
