As seen in the video the cassette is looking wobbly or maybe it’s the whole axel… the cassette is not loose neither are any spokes. You can even see the cassette tucking on the chain in the end of the video. Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated! Could it be a loose cassette case or the wheel being unbalanced?

The wheel and cassette is pretty worn down so maybe the answer is just a new set🤔

Time for new wheel?

  1. I didn’t even notice the wobble at first until you mentioned it.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think all freewheels/hubs have slight play in them: it helps shifting. If you’re not having shifting issues, it’s probably fine

  2. You are just looking for cassette and chain, while they are off clean entire bike then install new chain and cassette will be awesome

  3. This looks like the cassette freehub body has worn out, developed a wobble, and has enough gunk in the pawls where it’s not resisting forward rotation. You can replace it separately, or open it up and service it (this is rare).

It could be your axle, but your rim would have side-to-side play too.
