My Bike Build Journey: Slow and Steady Upgrades

In 2022, I picked up this frameset without a specific build plan in mind. At the time, I already owned a Factor O2 and a Canyon Aeroad, so this was more of a side project.

To get it rolling, I went with SRAM Rival AXS and found a great deal on refurbished Scribe wheels for half the price on eBay. For the cockpit, I used a Deda alloy stem, handlebar, and seat post, paired with an Specialized Power saddle.

Surprisingly, this bike has become my go-to ride. The fit feels much better compared to my other carbon bikes, and I’ve been enjoying it so much that I decided to invest in upgrades—but I wanted to take it slow and upgrade one step at a time.

Here’s the progress so far:
• Upgraded to SRAM Red AXS a few months after its release.
• Added Carbon-Ti chainrings and AbsoluteBlack brake pads. (not on this pic)

Added Ceramic Speed OSPW Alpha (not on the pic)

Next on my upgrade list:
• Princeton CarbonWorks Peak 4550 Evo wheels.
• Darimo Nexum Drag handlebar.

I’m excited to see how these changes improve the ride further. Taking the upgrade journey slow has made it all the more enjoyable!

Anyone else taking a gradual approach to their builds?
