  1. Morning Gents and a belated happy new year to Team Bikespeeds 🍻. Another stunning result. Love the deep red gloss colour, the chrome, and the Bianchi crest on the front of the bike. Wow! Have a great weekend gents 🫡

  2. Nice and deep restauration ! Happy new year Bikespeeds ! The paint looks very good for a bike of this age. The freewheel must have been indeed too difficult to service. It's fortunate to be still able to buy new ones on the market. Normally I would put an odd number of balls in the headset bearings, or any bearing, 25 instead of 26, even with a gap but this is a small detail.. Congratulation for this job !

  3. I comment every time, but I do LOVE these restoration videos. You guys have really found a niche here and I will keep coming back. Thanks very much

  4. As always a real pleasure to watch! You have transformed this old bianchi into better than new, even if it has rather cheap components on it. The brake levers are not original but are very cool. This bike, especially the frame, is in an amazing condition regarding its age. Probably it wasnt ridden quite often.
If it was mine, I would have swapped these old components and build a singlespeed or fixed gear bike with newer parts such as a 105 or tiagra front brake and removed the ugly chainstay sticker😄

  5. Impeccable service as always. Even by commuter standards this bike was pretty much unrideable. Cleaned up very nicely though. Love the touches like replacing the seat and pedals. Makes a huge difference. Bye for now!

  6. I love your videos. Your attention to detail is commendable. As a shop owner and head mechanic I use some of your tips to train new employees. Question – I noticed you didn't use Frame Saver while the bike was broken down. What are your thoughts on that?

  7. Great video. I'd replace the wheel cones. I'd adjust them by holding one end in a vice – that way you can make small adjustments to get it as good as you can – I can't see how you get it right otherwise. I'd also fit a brand new bottom bracket.

  8. Lovely job that. I did up a similar aged Peugeot last winter. I got lucky as it was mostly just really dirty from being in a garage for 30 years. Lots of cleaning and new tyres, cables and bar tape etc and it rides sweet.

  9. Hi Bike speed Your video on restoring this old bike is wonderful ,and all the other one's you do .When I was a school boy I worked weekends in a bike shop called Young's in Lewisham in South east London and we would work on these type of bike's ,the owner build my Young's frame and I used race at Crystal Palace track and a fixed wheel bike at Herne Hill track .l still ride now at 76 .Regards Chris Owen 👍
