Hi, found a suspicious looking crack in the paint, which I highly suspect is hiding a bigger issue. Can anyone confirm and have you had success repairing carbon cracks or is it a new frame?

Looks like a compression fracture in the top tube. Have you tried the tap test yet?
Uff. Just needs butter. I’d agree with the compression fracture opinion. Does not look good bubba.
Check it with a bike shop to know for sure. I just did a repair with carbon bike specialists if you need to get it fixed. They are good.
3rd picture shows the fracture. Won’t get any stronger from here and experience says it’s a time bomb if you ride it
Not so much cracked as mauled
Stick a fork in it. Might be able to repair it, or just get a used frame.

1000% repairable. Top tubes are easy, even on MTB’s.
I have seen much, *much,* worse frames go out and come back form our carbon repair guy, and over the last like 8 years of sending bikes off to him (and another local guy for that matter), their repairs have been 100% reliable.
Get this repaired, will probably be like $300ish, less if you don’t want it color matched.
Exactly why I stick to aluminum. Sorry for your loss!
