  1. Personally, I wouldn’t do it.

    But yes. It can be done. Protect the fork against abrasion and make sure you don’t overtighten the straps. Depending on the mechanism they use, they could theoretically crack the carbon.

    As someone who has had my lil fork dry bag fall into the front wheel and send me over the bars even with a cargo cage up there, I would be cautious. Just because it may stay straight on there for a while but when you get going fast down a gravel descent it might flip around the fork leg and into your wheel. You may find a good system for stopping it from rotating but it’s something I wouldn’t do personally.

  3. Not recommended. It doesn’t take much to flip the bag into your wheel and that can end up bad.
