There are a lot of legit Shimano drivetrains in China, that are intended for local builders, but they resell on eBay and Aliexpress. I just bought a 105 drivetrain from Aliexpress, and it seems legit, but there were no boxes or anything, which indicates that they weren’t meant for consumer purchase, it was purchased by a retailer meant to build a bike with. There are several others with the same experience. Chains are very commonly faked though, so if you go for it, I’d either get a known legit chain, or monitor wear closely and replace if it starts to wear quickly.

I picked up an entire XT/SLX groupset for my MTB off alieexpress/ebay. It’s legit. Would do it again for any build.

I bought RX600 shifters from Anrancee and they’ve survived 500km. I think they’re legit grey market parts as explained by the previous poster.
