I want to switch out a threaded fork on a fixed gear bike that already has a quill stem. One thing that confuses me: the steerer tube looks (I don’t know the actual measurements, but it really looks long) significantly longer than the head tube, how would I go about installing this threaded fork into this head tube? Would it stick out? Am I supposed to get it cut?
