Hey, im currently in the very hard decision of deciding between a Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2 or Ultimate CF SL 7 Di2. Exact same price point, both 105 with powermeter.
I just wont be racing much but i want a fast bike while still being comfortable, im a 20yo male, average sized (dunno if relevant)
I also want the bike to be good looking which i dont think the ultimate is.. if anyone have experience on either one i would really appreciate feedback, especially if aeroad is uncomfortable on semi long rides 😛 thanks

Your decision is already made in your last paragraph. You only buy the bike you find good looking.
Whichever one is available in your size.
I would go with the ultimate for a more comfortable bike, but i understand the desire to have a cool looking bike (and the aeroads look dope).
Aero road
I’ve done 100+ mile rides on my Aeroad and it’s as comfortable as any bike I’ve ridden. No worries on comfort.
They have the same geometry so it’s kind of down to looks really. I had an Ultimate for 5 years and recently sold it for an Aeroad CFR, best decision I made (also moved from M to S as the Ultimate always felt like a stretch – I’m on the line between M and S)
I have the ultimate as well, but both ride nicely. My deciding factor was how windy it is in my state/city. I’m in Salt Lake & the canyons are fun to climb. However, at 50+ mph the aero frame & wheels can catch a gust easily.
Your last paragraph answered your own question. Aeroad look sick! Oh, with deep wheels is difficult to ride hands free.
I have the aeroad, it’s a super comfy bike. I love the way it feels on climbs too, I’ve done quite a few 3000+ meter days on it and it handles really well, and it’s a beast on the descents.
Just wondering, how are you 20 years old and able to afford to drop $5k on a bike?
Ultimate coz no seat post issues
Aeroad, unless you live in the swiss alps, the weight is negligible
Get the one that looks good for you
