Bansko’s Ski Road is one of the longest pisted runs in the world, coming in at around 12kms from top to bottom.

I started at the Bunderishka 2 chairlift and drop all the way from 2600 metres to 936 metres.

As you can see conditions vary from choppy and powdery (ish) on the top through to ice on the lower run. There are some crazy moments, lots of traffic and some gorgeous views.

I’m riding a Burton Process Flying V with Nidecker Muon X Bindings. I need to unclip once to ride through the busy base station at Bunderishka Polyana, and I manage to ride through the busy squeeze point between the Shiligarnika lift and the gondola station.

This run was on the 17th January 2025, at the end of a week with a heavy snow dump. As you can see there is still a lot of snow in the trees and some powder patches at the side of many of the runs.

Have you skied the Ski Road in Bansko? Or are you heading there soon?
