So I’m trying gradually working my into hop 3s by doing them out of mellower and mellower banks. But I’m stuck now. How do you dudes suck your knees up to get the backend up? I can’t seem to will it to happen, is there a trick to it that you figured out?

Push the bars forward while you tuck
You’re turning your head as you spin which is good, but you’re not *leading* with your head.
Turn your head first and your body will follow- turn your head more and spot your landing over your shoulder to get that last little bit of rotation. You’re 90% there, just to get the technique down
Dude it’s not about looking over your shoulder or leading with your head or any of that. It’s all about the pop. Pop as you spin. Sure I suppose a little bit has to do with the spin and spotting your landing, but if you can pop hard from the start, it’ll give you time to spin and land good. Works the same for off an edge or off flat.
