It’s deeply concerning that incidences such as these appear to be either ongoing or increasing in frequency. Given the timing of this action (early Friday morning), it’s pretty clearly going to impact commuters more likely than not. Hopefully this isn’t going to be some kind of twisted trend, and it’s hard to believe that anyone would do this and not think that something serious would result from their actions.

That’s beyond reasonable doubt to me.
Very lucky nobody got seriously hurt. People have died from this.

Not to make light, but this reminds me of the indefensible case in the first episode of Better Call Saul.

Sentence him to 5 years in a cell.
Any cyclist who wants to can spend 5 minutes with him. Of course, search them for weapons.

The penalty for this should be pretty severe at this point. It’s well publicized that this can easily kill or seriously injure somebody via a neck injury. Kid is obviously inspired by seeing it on the internet.
