Now that I’m done repeating “holy shit” to myself because of the price I got this for, I wanted to share it with everyone. In all honesty, I like this Reparto Corse a lot more than the one currently in the tour 💀

I hope you’re not too heavy or don’t ride your bike too fast. Those are sexy as hell, but they’re the shittiest brakes I’ve ever used.

I met a guy who was going to give me a set. Of course, it never happened. But, have always wanted a pair. Awesome campagnolo styling

My recollection is also that they weren’t good brakes. I had a Serotta in the late 80s with super record with the blue “jewel” side pull brakes.

Putting that third picture of the booger welds on the bianchi stem after two pictures of the Delta brakes is absolutely criminal.

Those are more art and form than function. Beautiful but I wouldn’t want to rely on them for hard braking.

What are those handlebars? I’ve never seen a pair like that

Very pretty brakes.just the other day I discussed them with another fellow cyclist and we agreed they were very pretty but sucked at doing their work. A lot of other classic Aluminum Campy stuff from the past on that bike . Oh boy, do I miss their five-arm spiders of the past… in Aluminum.

When I see those I’m always reminded of a caption in Bicycling magazine years ago, about the Modolo Kronos brakes, they had “minimal effect on wind resistance, and on stopping the bike.” Anyhow, awesome build. I’d hang it in my living room.

I’m surprised no one mentioned the goofy aero, Campagnolo water bottles
Even that lower level Daytona groupset looks beautiful compared to shimano of that era.

Those brakes look cool as fuck, as does the rest of the bike. May I ask what it’s cost you?

the brakes look amazing but the stem welds look awful, is that on purpose?

I have a full Record C custom steel bike in the basement, bought new with all my saved up money in 1985… with the side pull Record C brakes, as these are absolutely gorgeous but don’t actually work in stopping the bike 😂😭👌

Works of art, really. Almost over the top in that regard. I’ve never had the chance to use a set but would be curious to know if you find their reputation of providing little braking accurate.
I love Campy’s monoplaner calipers as they look cool and actually work well.

Aight. I’m adding your bike to my spank bank. Not asking for consent, just letting you know.

KILL THEM WITH FIRE. Actually, kill the whole bike with fire

If these brakes worked half as good as they look, they would (even by today’s standards) be the best brakes on the market.
Unfortunately, looks aren’t everything. These brakes are most effective traveling up hill at slow speeds.

The first time I worked on these brakes I was confident I fucked up and got my supervisor to come check my work.
He just said “No, that’s how they work. You’re fine”
