Meet the Commencal T.E.M.P.O. Power, the groundbreaking aluminum e-MTB that’s changing the game with its incredibly light weight of just 20 kilograms.

Based in Andorra, Commencal has proven that lightweight e-MTBs aren’t exclusive to carbon frames. The T.E.M.P.O. Power features a triple-thickness 6066 aluminum alloy frame, demonstrating that premium performance can come from aluminum construction.

At the heart of this trail beast is the Bosch Performance Line SX motor, delivering 55 Nm of torque with a peak power of 600 watts. The bike comes with a 400 Wh internal PowerTube battery, and for those longer adventures, you can add an optional 250 Wh range extender, pushing the total capacity to 650 Wh.

The geometry is tailored for light enduro and trail riding, featuring a 64.6-degree head angle, 76.3-degree seat tube angle, and a reach of 446mm in size M. With 135mm of rear travel paired with a 150mm fork, the Virtual Contact System suspension delivers responsive handling and efficient climbing.

Two versions are available: The top-tier Signature model at 7,930 euros and the Essential model at 5,693 euros. Both feature Fox suspension, 29-inch wheels, and Shimano 4-piston brakes. The main differences lie in the component levels, with the Signature sporting premium parts like SRAM X0 T-type transmission and DT Swiss HX1700LS wheels.

Commencal backs this innovative e-MTB with a lifetime frame warranty, showing their confidence in the aluminum construction. The Signature version weighs 20.3 kg, while the Essential comes in at 20.4 kg in size S – impressive figures for aluminum e-MTBs.

If you’re looking for a lightweight, capable trail e-MTB that proves aluminum can compete with carbon, the T.E.M.P.O. Power deserves your attention.
