Can’t tell from the picture, whats the build on the spire? Are you asking if the trades worth it?

Imo cash is king.
You would be trading a bike that you know everything about for a bike that comes with a questionable history. Could be stolen for all you know or could have been abused and needing a major service. Your bike has a warranty and you wouldn’t have one after a trade.

Those are very different bikes.
Typically speaking I never do trades, it’s fairly rare a trade makes sense.
If you happen to be selling in order to buy one of the longest/slackest bikes in the industry. Then you may be the luckiest person ever.
But if you’re not specifically looking for a Spire (or Spire-like bike) I don’t see any reason to take the trade.
Even the angle of, it’s more valuable so I can sell it for more than the YT, well that then brings up the lingering ‘too good to be true’ question. Seems like an illogical downgrade of a trade without knowing any specific reason why.
Surely the Spire isn’t SUCH a slog to ride that he wants to trade down this much to get a Jeffsy lol

I sold my 2022 xt build alloy spire for $2200. This is the lowest spec spire they offer. Not a good deal unless you really really wanted a spire already.

Sorry mate, I don’t think you know enough about bike types, build kit values, market values, or the cost of differed maintenance to end up on the winning side of a trade. Unless, like the other guy said, it’s the exact bike you are looking.
