As anyone who has watched a few of our videos probably knows, we do a lot with @TriathlonDan but whilst he’s been a long-time friend and partner, we thought now was the time to disassociate from his ‘self’ bike fit…

  1. Right….paused so not cheating
    Saddle height-toeing down
I might consider shorter cranks as lowering saddle will close hip up.

Most of all-AERO BARS!!! TT bike only

  2. Lets play along at home. Muted the video. Saddle looks too high, handle bars too narrow, shifters too froward, bars too low, pedals too narrow. Then potential variables, shorter cranks, insoles and wedging.

  3. i watch a lot of bike fit videos because they entertain me but a saddle that high was never the case yet. even i as a non bike fitter could have told that this is way to high.

  4. Dan (the bike fitter), have you levelled your Rollr? I use one in my fit studio and with a bike on it the front axle is about 7mm higher than the rear. I have a small sheet of 7mm ply under the rear (roller section) of mine to level it off. It's worth a few tenths of a degree of tilt if you want to be fussy, which I am. And I have confirmed that the surface it sits on is level.

  5. All my bikes have the shifters turned in a lot. My wrists then align straight it’s far more ergonomic and aero. The pros been doing it for a few years now.
Dans arms are so straight you need a nice little bend in the elbows, don’t be far too stretched out. 😊

  6. His perspective is stubborn yet familiar. I hope he returns soon & allows you to set him up properly. My knees, undercarriage & hands hurt just watching him.

  7. The saddle height was the easy fix, but it is bad for his knees if you lower it. Changing the crank length is the best solution, or maybe moving the saddle forward.
However, the other problem that remains after changing the cranks is the handle bar. It is too close and too low. You can potentially get a longer stem with an upper angle, but I'm afraid this frame is just too small for @TriathlonDan‬.
(This is just my opinion, I'm not an expert)
