Dude, those are fighting words around here. Is that what we are doing today? Fighting? lol
All 4 pot Shimano brakes work really, really well. Personally, I’d go for the metallic pads. Which, might come with either of these brakes. If they don’t, consider switching. I’m not exactly sure of the difference between the XT and SLX, but they will both be great brakes. The XT probably has some additional adjustments, but that would be it. Power and modulation will be the same.
I like Shimano better than Sram, and am also partial to Magura.

Others may correct me, but no way in fuck I’m putting my brakes in the hands of Ali Express.

Those are functionally the same brake.
Those are not DH brakes. They are “trail” brakes.
For big boy descents you want Saints.

M7120/8120 are super similar. Just make sure to get the metal ice version and proper metal ice tech rotors

If you value your teeth as they sit now and the shape of your nose for the love of Christ don’t buy knockoff brakes from Ali Express.

Can I just ask what bike this is going on

Like some other guy said Xts are a little better in terms of adjustability and there for “feel”. I have slx on my trek slash and I think they’re good given it’s not a heavy bike but they’re do just fine with a 200lb rider

You can get take-off’s on eBay for fairly cheap; not worth the risk to buy from alibaba.
I love my SRAM Code RSC’s

Don’t buy shit from Ali Express that are intrinsically linked to your life safety.

Both are great, I suggest running 2.3mm thick TRP rotors. Makes a huge difference. I run Saint calipers with SLX levers & 203 TRP rotors. . ~30 DH days last season and no issues.

I have Magura MT7’s on one bike and Shimano Saints on another. Both are really good.

They are often genuine even if it’s Ali express but sometimes they cheapen out on things you might not notice like the brake disc and hoses, original Packaging and docs may not be there too.
