Hello guys!
Newbie here.
I am planning to buy a bike soon. This is going to be my 2nd bike. I had Cube AIM SL XC Bike before.
I will be riding some forest trails, learn and try jumps and such.
I will be glad if you help me out or give me some tips for selecting right bike.
As for now, I have 2 choices which cost same in my local bike shop
So one of difference I can see is: the Jamis got 140mm of travel while the Intense got 130mm. will that make huge difference ( my weight is around 170lb if that will help)?

that confused me so much apparently the recluse is a hardtail now. hm
10mm travel wont make a huge difference, what will is the damper and id MUCH rather have that 35 gold RL than the cheap TurnKey 35 silver.
but sadly, i’d much rather have the komodos 12sp deore rather than the Intense’s 12sp SRAM SX.
id prefer the komodos stans wheels to the intenses WTBs.
and id WAY rather have the MT420 brakes on the jamis, compared to whatever tektros intense slapped on there.
Long story short, Intense cut a LOT of corners (not super surprised) and Jamis cut one that won’t like ruin your ability to ride, and is ironically fairly cheap and easy to replace with how many discount forks or secondhand takeoffs are on the market.
I also don’t see geometry specs for the Intense, so can’t make a judgement call there.
Jamis geo looks totally normal/fine. If anything the sizes are a bit ‘long’ so consider sizing down, especially for jumping and learning skills.

134 rear, 140 front. You will pull all kinds of ass if you get one, your mother will love you again, your father will respect you, your dog will quit dry humping the couch. Get one, now.
