I have a pair of Decathlon Rockrider COMFORT 500 padded shorts and they serve me very well for 2h+ rides even with a narrower than ideal saddle, costed 20€ and worth every cent.

Looks like you are local to Bakersfield. Hit up Ryan Abler at TeamActionDad, he usually has excellent cargo bibs for a killer price.
I’ve always regretted buying budget bib shorts. Every time I spent money on top notch bibs I never regretted it. Summer bibs are on sale now.
