I messed up and slipped on black ice while commuting in the dark. Is it worth trying to paint it? I honestly can’t imagine the outcome being too great since its carbon fiber and its this shiny glitter type of paint. I want to avoid spending 300 € to replace this since its just cosmetic, but I’m seriously considering it 😀

You could try gently smoothing it out some with 400 to 600 grit sand paper and then use some plastic polish.
If it bothers you enough your best bet is to find a new lever.
I’d probably just ride it!

Chick dig scars. Without them, we have no history to speak of. Leave it, and feel free to spin a yarn about a more exciting cause!

Forget about and ride. Over time, it will wear off from the lever being used. Besides, I’m sure you gotta a story now riding on black ice🙂

I had a similar incident and used a sharpie to colour them in. Still visible if you look closely, but it was good enough

I think I rode past you today and that stood out like a sore thumb at 18 mph. Hope you get it fixed.
