I’ve been getting a little cabin fever, so it was time to get out and test some of the new additions to the bike on some properly technical black singletrack. I haven’t had to point the bike downhill or through some crazy rock gardens enough to get the full benefits of the dropper post, nor had I really gotten the chance to push the new wheels through their paces. Everything performed great, minus my cleats picking up a ton of packed snow and ice to the point they wouldn’t clip in anymore!
It just goes to show that “gravel biking” is what you make of it. There’s been so much “can I ride this” talk and gear angst on here lately, and I understand that deeply coming from the standpoint of trying to find the optimal setup as a racer; however, at the end of the day the constraint is probably going to be more you than your equipment. Ride your bike, push your limits, and you’ll be surprised what happens

That looks like a sick ride! My lauf is in the mail for next week. Good to see the apidura bag fits perfectly because I was eyeing that one but unsure whether it would fit snug.
How often are you in 48/10 riding at 60 km/h?
