The television presenter Paddy McGuinness is set to ride a Raleigh Chopper bicycle during a 300-mile ultra-endurance cycling challenge for this year’s BBC Children in Need.

  2. I'm wondering how much choice he had in 'accepting the challenge' considering he's on a £250,000 retainer from the BBC till they find him something suitable….oh and Paddy you need to raise £135,000 so the CEO Simon Antrobus's wages are covered. Maybe by tomorrow night?

  3. Still only three gears. Top bloke attempting this on what will be a tiring bike to ride. Anyway, he did it, got to Glasgow 10.30am today. Well done for raising so much money. I truly hope all the proceeds are used as intended.

  4. Mc Guinness is on a quarter of a million bbc salary retainer until something befitting his "amazing talent" comes along. This publicity will pay off massively for him…ought for nought.
