Trek fx 7.3 for work commute?

I am not well versed when it comes to bikes, but am searching Craigslist in my area looking for a commuter for work.

My previous bike was a huge salsa mukluk fat tire and was heavy and impractical.

I found this bike on Craigslist and am wondering if this would be a good choice?

I am 6’1 and my commute is less than 10mi each way, mostly flat but some hills. Any advice or guidance is much appreciated.

EDIT: if you do not think this is a good choice and would like to make some suggestions, my budget is capped at $340!
