A beautiful winter day (10th of january 2025) in South Limburg. Drone flight goes over the highest forest of the Netherlands, Vijlener forest. With the highest point the Vaalserberg with the three-country point. Actually this forest is an extension of the Ardennes.
The village of Vijlen can also be seen.
A beautiful area for a walk, in the forest you will find the forest cafe ” ‘t Hijgend Hert” where you can make a stopover. Also for cycling or a car ride through the hills is recommended. In case of snow, the road from Epen through the Vijlener forest to Vaals is closed.

Zo zie je wel duidelijk dat het uitloper van Eifel/Ardennnen is. Ook kinderen aan het sleeën op de hellingen.
