Very interesting, this is a proper Christmas type of ghost story, though as you say it's more time slip than ghosts.

Maybe where the property was, a portal had opened? Extraordinary time slip, and then closed again on the 2nd day. Can't imagine how that would affect you afterwards though.

My eldest daughter actually made me pause and stop watching the smithfields one when it was her bed time so she could watch the rest with me the following day ! What a fascinating story! I find it interesting that they slept so well, maybe because there were no radio waves, mobile masts etc.

Talking about Harlow. You've got the Saxon's meeting from Moot Hall. The Roman villa remains. The ghost of Anne Boleyn seen walking into the backside door of St Mary the Virgin Church. The ghost children of 'Wassailing walk'. The monks walk of 'Brays Grove'. Just in case you were having difficulty in finding a story arc!

I feel sorry for those poor people whose house it was. They come home expecting a nice bit of meat to find two weird looking strangers have eaten their food, used their candles and are sleeping in their bed. It sounds like 'the 3 little pigs'!
This story is taller than the Post Office Tower. Bullshit.
That was really enjoyable, reminds me of a small event in my life, it happened in Guernsey but was no where as odd as their story. It just involved a lot of rubble on a pavement near my office, it had been there for couple of weeks from road works and cleared up. Then one day I walked past and it was all cleared up but the atmosphere felt really odd…..all I thought but went off for lunch. But later or next day…can't remember…it was all back there again like it was before…very strange 🤔 not sure what that meant. Cheers for great stories..tf
