Nuclear medicine for cancer treatment
Recently, enormous progress has been made in the treatment of various metastatic cancers using Vectorised Internal Radiotherapy (VIR). The ILL is contributing to the global radiopharmaceutical industry by producing radioisotopes in its high-flux reactor. This is a “Midis by Giant” lecture presented by Ulli Koester, responsible for the LOHENGRIN instrument and radioisotope production at the ILL.
