  2. There's another such railway near me. The Drachenfelsbahn. It goes up the Drachenfels near Bonn. There's a castle ruin up there. We decided to walk, but it was interesting to watch the thing, for sure.

  3. The steepest possible rackrail is 480โ€ฐ (48%) not 1000โ€ฐ (100%)
    And the Zacke runs only a gradient of 180โ€ฐ with a bit to access the sheds reaching 200โ€ฐ

  4. Well…another good one^^ My last ride in the Zacke is….oof, let me think…9 years ago? Ofc with the old high floor rolling stock..
    I hate the city, but the Zacke is a must-ride, even for non-transit-enthusiasts.
