Decided to see how the trail will be after the mild snow storm we had. It was definitely fun and encountered only five people the two hours I was out.
There were two scenarios: compacted/frozen foot traffic/ruts and blissful fresh powder. The powder was awesome to ride; it adds a bit of resistance to the effort but super chill. The ruts I rode like pave: down shift a few gears, shift weight back, and try to keep speed up. The faster, the smoother the ride.
