Hi! While swapping my tyres from Schwalbe One to Conti (punctures…) I noticed a strange behaviour of my back wheel. When spinning the wheel while holding it with my hands on its axle, there was a noticeable resistance to it. It turns freely but kind of jerkily or unsmooth. I thought I’d release a little torque from the inner nuts next to the hub but that increased the problem drastically. By tightening it (just a bit) the wheel spins smooth and feels great. But that got me into another problem: like the video shows, back pedalling while folded is no more.
So my question: is that unsmooth jerky behaviour the thing a sturmey does? Or is there something off with my wheel?
Side note: my chain always was slack on the backpedal… folded and unfolded. So even if I go back to factory state, I think there is too much resistance.

Facts: 2024 – 6speed C line
Everything drive related is freshly cleaned and lubed (chain, chain guide, sprockets all disassembled and brushed). I haven’t messed with the hub jet. No oil inserted.

Thanks for any tips!
