Got myself a simple single-gear bike, and I really enjoy riding it, but I keep getting my pants dirty with grease from the chains. I thought installing a cover would be a simple fix, but several bike shops around where I live didn't have anything fitting, and one of them even said I can't install one because there is nowhere to connect it to. I imagine there must be some sort of cover that will fit my bikes, preferably something cheap, light, and cheap-looking because bike theft is common in my area. Could someone please point me towards what sort of product I should purchase?

The bikes model is ruder berna eightper L size
The front chain wheel has 44 teeth

  1. If you won’t find a suitable cover, clean the drive and wax your chain – no more grease.

  2. You might have better luck with a Velcro on protective (and reflective) strap you put on your leg. It’s kinda a pain because you have to take it on/off but is pretty easy.
