Exploring the biggest lock gate system in Britain which is based near fort William in the Scottish highlands. This impressive structure was built between 1803 to 1822. located on the famous Caledonia canal. Origionaly designed by Thomas telford.

The locks job is transporting boats up to a height of 64 feet, through a serious of 8 lochs. which is why this is called Neptune staircase as its like a massive staircase that keeps going.

A great place to either walk, cycle, run , or boating.
