I have the opportunity to change my Shimano MT420 4-piston caliper with cooling pads to a Shimano Deore M6100 2-piston caliper. Should I do this? I have Shimano Deore M6100 brake levers and front caliper.
The rear caliper feels a bit strange, so I have that doubt.

Why? The 4 piston is a better caliper, that’s not an upgrade.
I personally wouldn’t, just service and maintain your current breaks until you can get a real upgrade
What do you mean when you say “the caliper feels strange”?
Are you sure a good bleed and/or new brake pads wouldn’t do the trick?
What pads are in your MT-420’s? I didn’t think they were compatible with the finned pads.
unless you want weaker braking you’re going the wrong way brother.
