विजली ना चमकारे

I have long been arrested by the central image of this poem. “String your pearl in the glow of a single crack of lightning. Do what must be done, for soon there will be darkness.” I am intrigued to discover that this fierce voice is a woman’s, and that she is sharing her insights with another woman. Ganga Sati, a bhakti poet of the medieval period from Saurashtra in Gujarat, is reputed to have sung 52 songs, one per day, to instruct her daughter-in-law Panbai. With deep gratitude to Niranjanbhai Rajguru, a very knowledgeable folklorist and singer of the Gujarat sant-vani traditions, who shared the spirit of this song with me.

There was hidden agenda in becoming sufis to adopt singing and dancing that is prohibited in Islam. The motive was same to convert in general and they succeeded here also to convert where not by sword but by being one of hindus. Hindus have been always in illusion and delusion and still sinking in same boat and thus India is heading fast towards Islamisation but hindus still in intoxication till every ones roof comes under water. See kashmir Bangal kerela etc in India then we witness Bangladesh but we have no songs for their atrocities
She must go to Bangladesh and make them listen the Baani,may be live of any Hindus might be saved but she will not do that where this Gyan is actually required to stop human killings

Ganga Sati was a self-realized gnani ever-living saint of the caliber of Mira, Kabir, Raidas, and Namdev.
Panbai was not her daughter-in-law but a childhood sakhi-daasi who accompanied Ganga Sati upon her marriage to husband’s place.
All her bhajans are classical ones to take one across the sansaar and give eternal Freedom.
