  1. Looks like a Zycle Carrera 454 with some aftermarket mods. Not much info on Google, but it appears to be a budget aluminum road bike built with ok-ish entry level components. It may be a step up from what you’d find at Walmart.

If it fits you and works well, it’s probably worth keeping. If it doesn’t fit or is in need of significant repairs, then probably not. They don’t appear to have much resale value on the secondary market, but maybe you could donate it to a local bike co-op or something.

It’s a pretty obscure company based in:

    1935 Santa Anita Ave
    South El Monte, CA 91733
    (626) 455-0003

It’s a low cost, Chinese built road bike called a Zycle Fix Carrera 454. There’s not a lot of information around on this model as it looks like it was a very short run.

    – Aluminum Alloy 6061T6 16 Speed
    – Shifters Claris 2300
    – Kenda Tires 700x25c
    – Crank Double Chain Ring Brake: ZStar
    – 30mm Rims 12-25 Rear Wheel

It’s a standard basic aluminium road bike with some decent inexpensive parts on it. If all it needs is a clean and tune up then I would ride it. It’s not worth sinking lots of money into, however.

Install chunkiest tire you can put and you’re good. Maybe 700×32? Nahhh maybe not.

Solid beginner’s bike but nothing about it stands out. Previous owner got reasonably nice wheels for it though. I’d keep it until you find something better.

  6. It’s worth every penny you paid for it. Generic Chinesium with some silly made up Chinese name. Go ride it, have fun.
