I'm getting closer to retirement and looking to potentially move to Knoxville. I look on Realtor.com but I don't know anything about neighborhoods and/or access to good trails. Would love to get some info from locals. Thanks in advance.

I’m from the area, but no longer there. [Haw Ridge](https://exploreoakridge.com/attractions/haw-ridge-park/) is close by in Oak Ridge, for one. [Windrock](https://windrockbikepark.com/) has a bike park. There is also some gravel riding in the area, if you’re into that.
Except for the neighborhood across from Haw Ridge and maybe some houses in South Knoxville, I really can’t think of any place that I’d want to live where I could ride out my front door to the trailhead.
There are a ton of places to ride in the area. Living in central Knox, you could get to a dozen trailheads in 15-20min with a car.
