  1. You cannot rent a Velib bicycle from an Android phone since before the Olympic games. Also you cannot rent a bicycle via their website on Android. I tried in November 2024. I pre-booked one ticket from my laptop at home. I could not add additional tickets. The customer service is like their software a friendly shit show. Also I have a few security concerns regarding the app on Android. Still I enjoyed cycling on Velib on Sunday. I cycled with a cycle tour on the Saturday before.

  2. Please don't race. Cycling will be faster in a lot of situations. I really hated to walk and get the Metro from l'Orsay to Grenelle market. Cycling would have been so much faster.

  3. I loved this one. The “swear word that came out of your mouth Antoine is the exact one that leaps out of my mouth uncontrallably :). So nice. Down to earth. I would have loved to join you on the bike ride and met up with Colleen :).

  4. Love this video ❤ Thank you for sharing this. A question, if you rent a bike, how do you stop and see something or eat along the way, do you have to lock it up only in certain places or lock with a lock?

  5. Biking around Paris was a highlight of my trip May 2024! Both Fat Tire tours and Vélib'. Thank you for getting this information out. Bike shops were easy to find for a helmet, though I brought mine with me.

  6. Lovely video as usual.
Mention 2 things : be extremely careful, there are still crossroads where you lol be confronted with cars, not necessarily very nice with bikers. So, be super super careful.
The other thing with Lime : 60 minute pass for 6,99, and other bundles.

  7. Happy New Year Colleen & Antoin!! This was a fun video with all the different bikes. It seems like a great way to see Paris on a 😊limited time to visit. Love the eBikes for the physically challenged. Seems like a lot of fun!!

  8. I just wanted to mention that rental scooters have been banned in Paris..You must have used some old footage because there were a couple of electric rental scooters in one part..

  9. Thanks again for another great video! If you could add information on regular bicycles, not just electric bicycles, that would be a big help. I rarely rent electric bicycles, and I assume the regular ones would be significantly cheaper. Also, I live in DC (when I’m not in Paris!) and own a bicycle instead of a car. I always wear a helmet. Don’t kill me for pointing out the obvious…!

  10. They have the same thing in Momtreal … its expensive. They made bike paths here many years ago and they have expanded Its wonderful. The bike paths are near the street and they have them going through particular parks . Which is great for kids wonderful video ..Merci 😊

  11. Wishing a very Happy New Year to Antoine and Colleen. Have a great 2025 ahead! I am waiting for your video on new version of Notre Dame Cathedral.

  12. To see biking as a viable way to get around Paris is incredibly cool! We were there 10 years ago and could not have imagined that today. I live in a “walkable” city outside of Cleveland but walking can be quite dangerous and our bike lanes are crap, also quite dangerous. I would love to see dedicated bike lanes here instead of the narrow ones we have that the drivers hate! Hopefully I will have a chance to bike in Paris in May!
