After my epic 20,000-mile ride from Alaska to Argentina, I couldn’t shake the urge to keep exploring by bike. So after a summer bike tour to Amsterdam and some gravel endurance adventures, I wanted to dive into the world of bikepacking! What better way to start than a challenging winter trip with my new Genesis Vagabond 20 setup.
In this video, I start my journey in Lands End cycling north through stunning Cornish coastline before camping in the dazzling Dartmoor National Park. I then climb up and down the rugged Jurassic Coastline in Dorset when Storm Darragh hits and I battle the wind along King Alfreds Way and the North Downs. Will I make it to the end in Rochester in one piece?
As well as showing you this amazing winter journey across the Southern Divide route, I run through the 5 lessons I learnt on this journey. They’ll hopefully help you for any winter riding you have coming up!

That was a great peddle 💪😅fantastic looking route, enjoyed the editing ! Got that route as a priority this year along with 2 moors way as I haven't camped on dartmoor for over 5 yrs 😳. For wet cold weather I often use my Brynje mesh baselayers when on the bike , it might be worthy option if not tried them 🙂
