I can’t decide between these two. Both fit my riding style in terms of suspension, so the main differences come down to 1) Aluminum vs Carbon frame, 2) GX vs SLX (plus the fork), and 3) overall brand reputation.
I’ve briefly read about Aluminum fatigue which kinda worries me, but I’m not sure to what degree that should be considered. I’m mainly concerned about durability and longevity since I hope to keep this bike for a while.
Given they are the same price (because the Lux is on sale), which bike is the best value for the money?

If you’re from Europe 100% the canyon, if you’re from the US its not as easy because i’ve read that the customer support there isn’t great for canyon.
For value the canyon is just a better spec to be honest, in my opinion the canyon is also the better looking bike of the 2
Slx is as good/better than gx, the only downside it has is no way to lock the derailleur forward so removing the rear wheel will be a bit harder
