Beyond the Pitch | An Irish Mountain Biking Film

Growing up in rural Ireland, Gaelic football and hurling were part of everyday life. While they are fantastic sports, ultimately they weren’t for me.

This short film explores my journey from the traditional fields of the GAA to the exhilarating trails of mountain biking.

Set in a small village in Laois, it showcases how a community of passionate riders built something extraordinary—a club that became a second home for all ages and abilities. Cullohill DH mountain biking club!

I hope it inspires someone to branch out from ‘normal’ sports and try something different.
