I picked this bike up a few days ago for £100. Needed to take the front wheel off so it would fit in the car but couldn’t do it (back wheel came off easy so no problem).
I still can’t work out how to take it off. I’ve got a feeling there should be a larger axle rather than this little skewer?

Looks like someone bodged a QR wheel into a thru axle dropout.
I’d carefully take a drift or punch and try to knock the inner part of the qr hub out of the dropout for the thru axle where it seems to have gotten wedged. Careful of your fork mostly.
You probably need a whole new wheel.
Double crown fork in a XC frame, that’s the scariest thing
There’s a lot going on with this bike.
it’s easier for 2 people to go it.
One needs to expand the lowers a bit and other needs to pull the wheel down.
If you are lucky, you can do it yourself and wheel will slide down by itself
Sweet Jesus what an abomination
I mean there isn’t really a right way here, but I’m thinking you just need to spread the forks by like 1/16th of an inch and it should sort of center itself even though it’s the wrong axle. We’ve all done janky stuff with bikes before, it’s ok…
Throw this shit in the bin, your teeth will be grateful.
Bros got them temu dh forks
