  1. Fairly flat gravel going through a big forest for ideally dozens of miles on end. Luckily there actually is a place like that in Vermont, Unfortunately I only get to go there for about a week or 2 out of the year.

Lamoille valley rail trail, 94 miles long and it ends at lake Champlain.

  2. Cades Cove on a Spring or Fall Wednesday. ( No automobiles allowed on Wednesdays from Spring till Fall).

Cades Cove is a lovely 11-mike paved loop in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Lots of hills. Lots of wild life. Lots of clean air. Just perfect.

  3. Smooth roads, no traffic, and a sunrise so perfect it feels like Mother Nature is flexing.
