



so im having this problem where my i pull my leaver in to use my breaks and it wont snap back just pulls the wire im not to sure how to explain so i left the photos in order so you can see it better my breaks just stay locked up even after i released my lever the wore just sticks out

not sure but it sounds to me that a cable housing isnt in place, if everything is in place take out the cable and put chain oil/lube on I’ll of it.
Is the brake cable pulling through the anchor bolt on the brake arm?
This is the normal symptom when there is excess friction between the cable and the housing — usually, but not always due to corrosion. I am sorry to say that it is likely yours needs to be replaced. Fortunately, it is not very expensive.
I recommend using plastic-lined housing, properly sized (straight path in and out of housing stops and gentle curves even with handlebars at maximum left and right positions), and properly cut (so there is no burr at the ends of the housing). Also, I only use die-drawn, stainless steel cables. They don’t rust and are a lot smoother than non-die-drawn ones. This setup needs no internal lubrication, which usually only acts as glue for crud to get stuck in there.
