New to the space and have been doing lots of research before jumping into first MTB.
FB marketplace listing claims Specialized Rockhopper Expert M4. Asking $560 and claims it’s a 2020-2021. Fairly certain that’s not true. Notice cables aren’t run internally. Also can’t find any recent years with M4 frame. That said…I’m still super new to this.
Thoughts on bike? If it’s an older year, have components changed so much that it’s a bad value and should keep looking?

$560 is too much for this bike even if they weren’t lying about the age.
Personally I wouldn’t tell someone to get a rockhopper as their first bike unless it was $300 or less
I know this is a older expert, but this bike is more comprable to a new rockhopper base, which new go for about $675 USD and being new would be better geo and brand new components. Personally I would keep looking. There are better deals out there.
Much older than the claimed age. That would be worth around $250 ish, as with current sales going on you can probably get a brand new rockhopper comp for around that asking price
