This investigation uncovers the truth behind one of the largest automotive scandals in history, known as Dieselgate. It began with three engineers in the United States who discovered that diesel cars, notably Volkswagen’s models, emitted far more pollutants on the road than during lab tests.
The revelation exposed deliberate software manipulation, allowing cars to cheat emissions regulations. The scandal rippled worldwide, implicating major European manufacturers like PSA and Renault.
Beyond corporate deceit, the documentary highlights its alarming public health consequences, with thousands of premature deaths linked to excessive pollution.
A gripping exposé on greed, accountability, and its impact on our environment.

  1. As one born, raised an living in Europe, I can assure it was a "wolf bitten by a sheep" playbook case. Germans and french, especially, have a huuuge superiority complex towards americans, for them it was inconceivable that "dumb americans" would ever manage and be able to figure out and understand the trick pulled out by the highly educated european Übermensch. So the outcome was even more sweet given the efforts made by the german giant to smear the tiny american team from where the scandal started.

  2. 27:37 A brand-new Renault model emitting 9 times the legal NOx limit in 2017… Isn't it wild that even post-Dieselgate, some manufacturers are still cutting corners? How can consumers trust the industry again?

  3. Even the dieselgate cars are cleaner than most American cars. I blame the environmentalists in the government that are working explicitly to make the internal combustion engine uneconomic.

  4. I can not tell that those guys made this discovery out of experiment or someone has paid them to do this. After all they didn't do something revolutionary ( wow, put gas emission instrument on the back on the car and glue it with duck tape to see what would measurement be ). But on the end they started the downfall of EU car brands which on the end will result in job losses and very expensive cars for all. Why they do not measure how much ship engine pollutes ? This is not impacting us at all ?

  5. That fact that it take 500,000 metric tons to make a 1,100 lb ev battery that power out is only barrel of oil or 300 barrel of oil to make the same thing its all bs to controll people. With fear and lies

  6. La folie européenne du diesel a été poussée par les politiques de l'UE… dans d'autres parties du monde, les voitures diesel représentaient une petite minorité du parc auto.

  7. You're doing a fantastic job! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
