I mostly rebuilt Marzocchi’s as I find them easy to rebuild and spares fairly easy, but not cheap, to find. They also look cooler than most forks of the time. I’ve done a total of 8, plus I have a superfly on the bench. I’ve done a few Rockshox elastomers, MAG21’s and recently a Judy Race Hydracoil. Some I’ve sold, some I’ve kept the ones that complemented my bikes. Just a little hobby I took up over the year that works hand in hand with my bike hobby.

That is awesome. I started mountain biking in the Marzocchi heyday and was a big fan, so I immediately recognized all those models. Z1-CR was my first really nice fork and then had a Jr T and a Shiver later. The Jr T was a bit of a dud, but the others were awesome at the time. If I recall, the Superfly wasn’t that great (still wanted one, though).
I wonder how the Z1 or Z2 compares to similar modern forks. My guess is ok but not that great

Awesome forks! A friend gave me an old trek with a MAG21 on it, any advice on servicing it? Would it be worth it to find an old Marzocchi? Love the look of them but just not sure if the price or serviceability is any different
