zacce on December 31, 2024 11:55 am This fall, I bought 4 used bikes for my family (in the order of purchase): 1. kid #1: Specialized Hardrock (24″ MTB) for $60 2. wife: Raleigh c40 (28″ hybrid) for $40 3. kid #2: Specialized Expedition (26″ hybrid) for $60 4. mine: 2011 Trek Alpha 1.1 (28″ road bike) for $90 All were not in top shape. But after some love (degreasing, adjustments), chain/brakes/derailleur are in good shape. Can anyone help me identify the model years? How to post images with text in reddit? I’ll share how I negotiated, if anyone is interested.
Mihsan on December 31, 2024 12:11 pm 2 and 3 are old school, probably 20-25 years old. Kinda meh, but the price seems fair. 4th one is an awesome purchase. 1st one is good too. Both should be closer to the last 10 years +/-.
