Cat pin is on point, but leather on the fork? In spring-summer thatd be dope as fuck. Itll get all cool and sun tanned/bleached, but rain and grit might knacker them beyod salvage.
I have a leather top tube protector on my fashion biek, can affirm it looks cool as hell but I avoid rain on her like the plague lol.
10/10 execution, might steal idea.

I want to like it but it looks… Really extra and unnecessary, and like you’re trying too hard to make it unique.
I’m sure there are better ways to spice up your fork rather than leather that will get soaked with road grime and tassels that can get caught in your spokes.

Your forks are already painted, Seems a shame to me to cover that up.
Also it’s a poor place for leather, grit and grime will migrate down and get between it and the fork and scratch up the paint. It’s not really protecting much there.
Get some helicopter tape or 3M clear vinyl, you should place it up near the tire because that’s the spot that’s most likely to need protection unless you’re riding behind somebody and they’re kicking up rocks.
You should save leather for where you’re interacting with the bike. Think about Chrome versus leather on a car. You put Chrome in a spot that needs to have corrosion resistance and be hard wearing but you’re not really going to be interacting with very much. Versus leather which is hard wearing but soft it’s going to be at spot so you’re going to be interacting with a lot. So door handles and ashtrays Chrome seats steering wheels leather.
if you put the stitching on the side it wouldn’t be uncomfortable to sit on the top tube at stop signs and you could still use it as a shoulder pad.

I’ve done this but used thinner leather wrapped it tighter and knotted it of. Used a speedy stitcher. You got too much leather and it looks loose (punch hole placement?) and like it’ll catch scratchy stuff rather than repel. Good luck tho and happy biking.
