Found this bike online and was thinking of getting it. They are asking $200. It was converted to a fixie and has new tires and updated 700c wheels, new chain, new pint job (repainted) seat is also in good condition. And bar tape is new.

It’s a 1984 trek 510 steel frame bike
I’d say yeah if it fits you and you want a fixie. That’s a fine frame, steel is nearly timeless. It will never be as modern as a new rig, but… it doesn’t need to be. It looks really clean. If you’re into fixies (which I’m not) then go for it. I can’t tell what the group set is but it looks to be well maintained and has a rack, if you’re into that. What do you want to do with it?
it’s not a bad bike! depending on where you live/what the market is like, you might be able to find something better for the money if you wait a little longer. but if this bike is your size and it’s fun to ride, buy it! the best bike is one you enjoy b
No.
I wouldn’t, but I’m not interested in fixies
