I built this up as a commuter last year and it’s seen its fair share of miles since then. I’ve lent it to friends a couple of times for bikepacking trips and its held up great in all sorts of weather 🙂
The frame was a facebook marketplace find and the rest was cobbled together while I was still working at a bike shop (I miss those sweet sweet industry discounts…). If you’re ever looking to piece together a bike like this I implore you to look into your local bike co-op, there will always be enough parts to build a bike there 🙂
