Traded the gold spacer for a freshly cut steerer tube and some crappy clip on fenders (for the rain). You gotta grow up sometime

I liked it better before, but I might just be biased against cutting the steerer because I’m a giant.  I buy all my bikes second hand and I hate it when the previous owner cut it down. 

Have you considered putting the gold spacer under the stem, in place of one of the black spacers? That might look cool.
